In 2008, 4 students from year 9 in Bradford had a BIG IDEA to help reduce the mortality rate of mums and babies in less economically developed countries (LEDC’s) This BIG IDEA went onto become a virtual gift in the CAFOD catalogue. The team toured Yorkshire and beyond to promote the gift. National radio and television followed their progress as they visited the clinics in Nigeria to see how the money was spent. The girls supported and inspired teams in following years of our programme to become successes in their own right and the money keeps rolling into CAFOD. The latest total raises by the gift is now a fantastic £169,340!
