It started with one girl watching a TV programme about children scavenging on the dumps in Africa for a living. She talked to her friends from the Raincliffe Graham Federation and it became a BIG IDEA – to help street involved childen to a better quality of life by raising money through a virtual gift. Their passion for their BIG IDEA and their well researched business planning took the team all the way to the grand final at the Place of Westminster in July 2011.
All that was needed to turn the idea into reality was a charity to partner with the team. This month, through the hard work of an intern Danny Taylor, from Leeds Trinity University College, they were adopted by the Hope for Children charity which works in over 10 countries worldwide supporting over 70,000 children in this year alone.
This is just the start of something big. Follow us on Twitter and Facebook for regular updates on how this partnership is developing. Follow the link below to the homepage of Hope for Children.
